The "Justin Bieber Big Ticket 2.0 Contest" (the "Contest") begins on March 23, 2010. The sponsor is Universal Music Canada Inc., 2450 Victoria Park Avenue, Suite 1, Toronto, ON, M2J 5H3 (the "Sponsor").
HOW TO WIN:
HOW TO WIN WITHOUT PURCHASE: To win the Contest without a purchase (while supplies last), send a request with your hand printed name, address, age and telephone number to: "Justin Bieber Big Ticket 2.0 Contest", Universal Music Canada, 2450 Victoria Park Avenue, Suite 1, Toronto, ON, M2J 5H3 ("Contest Play Request"). All Contest Play Requests must be received no later than May 31, 2010 to be valid. Limit one (1) free Contest Play Request per person per day. Upon receipt of a valid Contest Play Request (while supplies last), the Contest judges ("Judges") will break the seal of a specially marked "My World 2.0" CD by Justin Bieber to see if the Big Ticket 2.0 is inside. No mechanically reproduced or photocopied requests will be accepted. All Contest Play Requests become property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Only winners will be notified.
HOW TO WIN WITH QUALIFIED PURCHASE: You may also win the Contest when you purchase (while supplies last) a specially marked "My World 2.0" CD by Justin Bieber at a participating retail location. If you open the CD and it contains the Big Ticket 2.0, you are the potential Grand Prize winner (subject to verification of the valid Big Ticket 2.0 and compliance with these Official Rules). Only the winning CD package will contain the Big Ticket 2.0.
GRAND PRIZE
There will be one (1) grand prize package available to be won. The Grand Prize Package consists of:
• Round trip economy airfare for three (3) persons to Paradise Island, Bahamas (the "Destination") from and returning to the Canadian international airport that is closest to the winner's place of residence, departing on or about June 9, 2010, with exact date to be determined by the Sponsors;
• Three (3) nights standard accommodations for three (3) persons, based on triple occupancy; at the Atlantis hotel in the Destination (hotel is subject to change by the Sponsors in their sole discretion); and
• The opportunity for winner and guests to attend a performance by Justin Bieber at a location in the Destination to be determined by Sponsor (the "Event").
NOTE: The winner of the Grand Prize Package (the "Winner") and his or her guests shall be responsible for all insurance (including without limitation, travel and medical insurance) for the duration of the trip (the "Grand Prize Period"), ground transportation to and from the Winner's place of residence to the closest international airport, gratuities, all meals, applicable taxes, incidentals and any and all other expenses not specified in the above description of the Grand Prize Package. Winner and guests must follow all instructions of the Sponsor and facility staff or participation in the Grand Prize Package may be forfeited, in whole or in part. Winner and guests must travel together and depart from the same location. Winner and guests are responsible for ensuring that all travel papers required for travel to the Destination are in good order, and are valid prior to, and for the entire duration of, the Grand Prize Period. If one of the Winner's guests is a minor, the Winner must be the parent or legal guardian of the guest. All required documentation for the Grand Prize Package will be sent directly to the Winner's home only after the Winner has met the eligibility requirements outlined in these Contest Rules and Regulations and the Official Contest Declaration and Release Forms have been signed by the selected entrant and the Winner's guest, and returned to and received by Universal Music Canada Inc. by fax to "Justin Bieber Big Ticket 2.0 Contest", 416 718-4217. A valid major credit card must be provided by either the Winner or his or her guests for hotel check-in and incidentals. No changes to travel dates or passenger names are permitted once the booking has been made.
Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize Package is two thousand five hundred dollars in Canadian funds ($2,500 CDN) based on a sample departure from Toronto, Ontario. Actual value may vary depending on point of departure. The Grand Prize Package as described is subject to availability, may not be exchanged for cash, is non-transferable, non-refundable, may not be sold, and must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions. At their election, and in the event the Grand Prize Package, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded as described in these Official Rules, the Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equivalent retail value. Sponsor will not be responsible if weather conditions or other factors beyond Sponsor's reasonable control prevent the Grand Prize or part of the Grand Prize Package from being fulfilled. Further, the Sponsor assumes no liability or responsibility whatsoever should the Winner or his/her guests be denied entry to the airline or the country for any reason whatsoever. In the event that the Winner and guests arrive at the Destination, and the artist is unable to perform or fails to perform for any reason whatsoever, the Grand Prize shall be deemed to be fulfilled. Grand Prize trip must be taken on the dates specified by the Sponsors in their sole discretion or the prize will be forfeited.
CLAIMING OF PRIZE
Winner (if via purchase of a My World 2.0 CD) must email bigticket@ilovejustin.ca with name, address, birth date, and telephone number and will be contacted within five (5) business days for verification. It is recommended that the potential Winner send their potential winning Big Ticket 2.0 by traceable mail (i.e. registered mail or courier). Proof of mailing or courier shipment does not constitute proof of delivery or receipt and proof of delivery does not constitute proof of a winning submission. Please retain a photocopy of the potential winning Big Ticket 2.0 for your records. No responsibility by Sponsor is assumed for lost, late, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, or illegible mail or damaged, torn or separated mail due to improper packaging of the Big Ticket 2.0.
The Winner of the Grand Prize must also sign a declaration and release form discharging and releasing the Sponsors and their partners from any and all claims for damages, losses or injuries resulting from the Grand Prize, confirming compliance with the Official Rules and Regulations, and acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded (a "Declaration and Release Form"). The Winner's guests shall also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form. Signed Declaration and Release Forms must be returned by fax to: "Justin Bieber Big Ticket 2.0 Contest", 416 718-4217. If the Winner or any guest is under the age of majorty, his or her parent or legal guardian will be required to sign the Declaration and Release Forms on behalf of the minor. Confirmation as a Winner is subject to verification of eligibility requirements. The Big Ticket 2.0 will be void if it fails to pass anti-fraud detection measures or if found to be photocopied, reproduced, altered, forged, defaced, tampered with, mutilated, stolen, unauthorized, contains printing errors, is mechanically reproduced or illegible in any way, or if it fails to contain special markings and/or security codes used by Sponsors.
The chances of winning are approximately 1:80,000.
All decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this Contest.
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of thirteen (13) in their province of residence, with the exception of: employees of the Sponsor, its respective parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of the Contest materials, or those living in the same household as any of the above. To be eligible, both Winner and guests must be legally able to travel to the Destination. Entrants under the age of majority are eligible to win the Grand Prize Package provided that the winning entrant's parent or legal guardian accepts the Grand Prize on his/her behalf. The parent or legal guardian must also accompany the minor to the Destination.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
All Contest Play Request entries become the property of the Sponsor and no correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrant(s).
By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence and image on videotape and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor with respect to this Contest, without further notice or compensation.
By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Rules and Regulations, including eligibility requirements. Entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its respective parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, members, dealers, advertisers, franchisees, promotional agencies and each of their respective directors, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, officers, subsidiaries, agents, employees, artists, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest, from and against any and all manner of action, causes of action, suits, debts, covenants, contracts, claims and demands, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach and liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants or his/her administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might have or could have, by reason of or arising out of the entrant's participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of the Grand Prize Package awarded.
The Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries which fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules and Regulations. No responsibility will be taken by the Sponsor for lost, delayed, mutilated or misdirected Contest Play Request entries or Declaration and Release Forms.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion; to cancel or suspend this Contest without notice should any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
Québec residents please note: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (the "RACJ") for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
Sponsor reserves the right (subject to the approval of the RACJ, if required, in respect of the Province of Quebec) to suspend, modify or terminate this Contest at any time, for any reason, without any prior notice. The Sponsor also reserves the right to amend or modify these Rules at any time during the Contest Period without any prior notice. The Sponsor respects your right to privacy and will use your personal information only to conduct the Contest.
The Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws.
